WOMEN+ IN CONFIDENCE 2025
Remain confident!
π« From Back of the Room to Center Stage! β¨ Stepped away from my desk for a quick trip to Charlotte, and what an inspiring journey it turned out to be! π Yes, there was a little "office change" involved π, but the real magic happened at the Carolina Women+ in Techβ’ event.
Being a panelist for the Women in Confidence event at TIAA, surrounded by 80+ incredible attendees, felt surreal in the best way. π³ Just a few years ago, you would've found me nervously hiding in the back of conference rooms. Iβm glad I challenged myself 2/3 years ago to start stepping outside of my comfort zone.
The confidence to now share my voice on stage? That's GROWTH, baby! π±
Charlotte, you were amazing! β€οΈ
Until next time! βπΎππΎ
The Ambivert Advantage: Unlocking Leadership Superpowers at Women Lead NC
Being Authentic!
November 2024, I had the distinct pleasure of moderating a truly insightful panel discussion at the Women Lead NC conference, hosted by the NC Chamber. The topic? The fascinating and often underestimated experience of being an ambivert in leadership. And what a conversation it was, shared with a remarkable group of women!
For those unfamiliar, ambiverts are unique individuals who skillfully navigate the social landscapes of both extroverts and introverts. As an ambivert myself, it was incredibly invigorating to moderate and hear the panels collective stories and insights, highlighting how this personality trait can actually be a significant asset in leadership roles.
The discussion centered on the idea that embracing ambiversion isn't just about finding balance; it's about unlocking a genuine superpower. We explored how ambiverts can seamlessly blend the powerful communication skills often associated with extroversion with the deep, reflective capabilities characteristic of introversion. This dynamic combination allows for a more nuanced and effective approach to leading teams and making decisions.
A key takeaway from our panel was the undeniable importance of self-awareness and authenticity in leadership. Understanding your own personality traits β whether you lean extroverted, introverted, or, like many of us, fall comfortably in the middle β is a crucial step towards becoming a more inclusive and impactful leader.
It was a privilege to be part of such an enriching discussion, and I left feeling inspired by the shared wisdom and the recognition of the diverse strengths that leaders bring to the table. Here's to embracing our authentic selves and leveraging our unique leadership styles!
